Chapter 47
POV: Rhys Anderson
I had taken Harmony into my apartment in an attempt to make her calm down and relax after drinking a glass of cold water. I felt extremely sorry for her, and I could finally understand what had transpired between her and Christopher even though I wasn’t aware of the full story yet.
Seeing her in so much pain and anguish broke my heart, and I wanted to console her and show her that I understood, forgetting about the mean things she had said to me earlier. Sitting just beside her on the sofa, I could see that the tears that had streamed down her face had dried up. All that was left were traces of the tears, her eyes were red and puffy, and she just stared into blank space.
I heaved a sigh, then squeezed her hands reassuringly. She didn’t look at me, but just opened her mouth to speak.
