Chapter 50
POV: Harmony Winters
I led Mason by the hand as soon as we had both alighted from the car. We were at St. Timothy's psychiatric hospital, where our father stayed all by himself, with the care of doctors and nurses.
Every end of the month, I ensured that I sent money to the account number the hospital had provided just so that my father could be provided with maximum care.
We hardly visited him though, because even if we did, he could not remember us and we only just remained strangers to him. The only times Mason and I showed up was during Christmas and on Father’s day. This time around, however, we had missed Father’s day and we had decided to come during the summer, when Mason was done with seventh grade.
“Do you think daddy would remember who I am now?” Mason inquired, looking hopeful with puppy eyes.
“I don’t know. We would soon see him, so, we should be able to find out soon enough,” I replied, squeezing his hand as we walked into the hospital rece
