POV: Rhys Anderson
I woke up to the morning sunlight which penetrated into the bedroom. I yawned tiredly, then rubbed my eyes with my fingers, feeling the drawers for my phone so as to check what the time currently was. However, I couldn’t feel my phone and I had no choice other than to open my eyes widely, and I became more awake.
What? What was that sound?
I thought to myself, hearing the bleeding awful classical opera music my mother was singing. Of course, it had to be my mother. I would recognise her voice anywhere, but what I didn’t understand was why my mother would be singing in Texas.
I blinked my eyes rapidly, looking up to the ceiling. Everything was different, and that was when the memory hit me that I had left Texas yesterday and was currently in New York. Damn! How could I have forgotten?
