Chapter 77
POV: Harmony Winters
The ambulance had managed to come earlier than expected, and Rhys had been lifted onto a stretcher in the ambulance with an oxygen mask placed firmly around his nose in order for his breathing to be assisted.
I had come to the hospital with Nathan by my side, who had called Rhys' mother to inform her of where we presently were in order for her to show up as his only parent.
Currently, Rhys was being wheeled on a stretcher by a doctor and two nurses who seemed to be in a hurry. He was already pale, and as I ran along with the stretcher, holding onto his hand tightly and holding back the tears that were threatening to fall, I discovered that he was growing cold with each second that passed.
He was immediately wheeled to the emergency room, where the doctor whispered something I couldn’t hear to one of the nurses. She appeared like she had understood him and left the room in a hasty manner.
“What is it, doctor? Is he going to be fine?”
