Chapter 68
POV: Harmony Winters
New York, United States of America.
I looked out the window as the car sped across the streets of New York, headed for Rhys Anderson’s house. The flight from Texas had roughly taken about three hours and thirty minutes, and the drive from the airport to Rhys' home had taken close to an hour now.
I was so stressed out and worn out, but my eyes remained wide open, as I thought about a thousand and one things. Rhys had collected my phone in order for me not to keep going through the Internet to see what people were saying about me. I felt like I had every right to know about what was being said about me, but I understood his actions perfectly well. He was trying to protect me by doing that, and that’s why I didn’t bother to argue with him.
“We’ll soon be there. My apartment is just around this turn,” he said.
“That’s nice,” I managed to say, not in the mood to speak too much.
“Do you remember any of these places?” he asked.
