Hearing the news at the Forensic laboratory had made me feel burdened. It all made sense thinking about it – how I had managed to survive all these years with not a single evidence that I had been behind Christopher’s murder. It still felt so unbelievable to me, but somewhere deep down, I felt free.
Someone somewhere must have probably had a grudge on Christopher, which was no surprise because of the terrible things he had done to people, and the person had helped me out by erasing traces of my fingerprints, so that no one could even think that I had seen Christopher the night he had died.
That person couldn’t have been my guardian angel, so, who could it have been? Who was that someone who had helped me live freely all these years, and how could I prove that I was actually not Christopher’s murderer?
