Chapter 8

Katy’s POV

I didn’t know if it was the excitement of starting my new job or maybe it was something else, but I found myself waking up extremely early and getting ready for the office. I remembered last night’s events. My mom was supposed to leave as early as possible, but here I am, ready to leave at quarter to seven. Amy is still in bed since she won’t be leaving for school any time soon.

I made some noodles for breakfast, which will be much easier for them to warm up with the leftover sauce, and I made hot tea with toasted bread for myself. By the time I was done eating breakfast and washing the used dishes, it was almost past seven, which meant getting to the office wouldn’t take me so long. I would arrive before 8 am. Great!
