Chapter 10

Jack's POV

Evans is incredible. I never thought Alana's twin could be as cool as him. We spent the day bowling and talking about girls. He never once reminded me that he's engaged to his sister. I guess he knows that what we have doesn't go beyond just a contract. After leaving the bowling alley, we went to a bar to drink. Evans flirted with some girls while I could only think about Sofia and her strawberry scent. She must hate me. I highly doubt she wants to see me again after the scene she witnessed.

I felt bad leaving her outside the bathroom. She must have felt like just another random girl. And not only that, but I didn't even go back to the venue after that. After a few days, I made the decision to go look for her. I asked Alana to cover for me with her parents and went to see Sofia. I explained the whole situation—the contract, Alana breaking up with her boyfriend, my parents thinking they can still control my life—and that I hadn't stopped thinking about her.
