Maverick’s POV
I stood at the airport, my eyes scanning the crowd for my cousin, Mila. It had been years since I last saw her, and I was eager to catch up and spend some quality time together.
Finally, I spotted Mila approaching me, a mixture of weariness and relief on her face. I opened my arms, embracing her in a warm hug. “Mila! It’s so good to see you. How have you been?”
Mila returned the hug, her voice tinged with exhaustion. “I’ve been okay, Mavi. It’s been a long journey. I just needed to get away from work for a while.”
We found a quiet spot in the airport café, settling into a cozy corner booth. I ordered some coffee for both of us before turning his attention to Mila. “So, tell me, what’s been going on? What brings you here?”
Mila sighed, staring into her cup. “Honestly, Mavi, I needed a break from work, and I wanted to see you of course. It’s been a while.” she chuckled.
