Bree’s POV

It was the end of the day, and I was in front of my locker with Sofie waiting outside for me. Maddie was staying behind since she and Dylan made plans, so she was waiting for him at the field while he practiced. I closed my locker after putting my books back in and taking my school bag.

I started making my way outside the school, only for me to be stopped on the way out. Standing right in front of me was Chase, one of Hayden’s teammates, who has been asking me out for a year now and won’t give up no matter the number of times I have turned him down.
