I was almost 99.9% sure it was Adriano Polienni or someone sent by him. I was convinced that the man had been inside the estate and d****ed Katherine so she wouldn't be able to recognize him. I didn't want to come across as arrogant, but I had a slight feeling that it was a warning directed at me. He was trying to scare me off from continuing my investigation, but instead, he had given me important information. If he considered me a threat, it basically meant he was somehow involved in his cousin's murder and that he also knew I had discovered his paternity of Venice's unborn child. Had they fallen in love?
