Chapter 24. New Perspective
Kiara’s POV
Back within pack borders, I shift back into myself, throwing on the oversize t-shirt Amber throws at me. I haven’t been in a hurry to shift back, as I’m expecting a huge argument with Maze. He probably thinks this is all my fault, and angry his precious ex mate got caught in the fire. Although she seemed to be there with the enemy, but he probably didn’t see it that way. He is blind and stupid. Two things I cannot find in myself to handle at the moment.
‘He said he still wants us as his mate, Kiara. He called us baby. That has to count for something.’ Winter whines, but I disagree. What he said in the mind-link doesn’t add up with how he has acted since that day in the pack house. He just believed whatever Mira told him, and even though it was obvious the dude was there to create trouble, he still didn’t believe me. He dismissed me.
