Chapter 48

Lola's POV

I was still screaming when Adrian ran into the room. Before I could speak, he'd pulled me into an embrace. "Hey, hey, Lola, look at me. What's the matter, baby? What's wrong?" He asked worriedly, and I pointed towards the bathroom door where the stench of blood was coming from. 

SOON, YOU'LL BE MINE was written boldly with blood on the white bathroom door.

"What the fuck?" Adrian swore under his breath, but I heard him. 

Gently sitting me on the bed, he went to look at the window that was now opened. He slammed his hands on the window sill making me jump in fear. He must have noticed the effect the sudden sound had on me because he came towards me and held me.

"Are you cold?" He asked, and that was when I realized that I was shaking. I remembered that I was in my towel and tried to make myself smaller, but he wasn't having any of it. He pulled me closer to him like he was trying to shield me, and I felt safer than I'd ever been.&nb
