Chapter 104. The Black Van

Leah’s POV

Act excited? How was I supposed to do that? I mean, I had some idea and I knew that all she was trying to say to me was that I should cheer up but how was I supposed to do that?

I forced a smile back at her and she probably knew that it was fake. She peeled her eyes off me and walked into the house, leaving me alone.

I felt like I should have gone inside; like I should have followed them but at the same time, I did not know what to do.

I had so many emotions rushing through my mind and I just wanted to sit and think. So that was what I did.

I ran my hand through my hair and made my way towards the other side of the house. There was a garden area there that reminded me of Rafael and his family’s compound, but it was much different.

It held a different kind of vibe, I just did not know how to explain it. And all of the flowers here seemed organized. It was all color coordinated and gave the garden a weird feel.
