Chapter 105. The Hanger

Leah’s POV

My heart was pounding in my chest as I sat there. There was no one else in the van but JJ. He was a gruff guy. He had Arabic features and his voice was strong. He had a thick beard and wavy hair.

He had a good build and looked like he went to the gym regularly. 

He was mostly silent during the drive, but again, what did I expect? A conversation from him? He was probably just doing his job. Considering how Sasha’s parents just allowed the man to take me away showed that they trusted him. 

It showed that the man probably has been working with them for a very long time. Because you see, people like Rafael and his family; people like Sasha and her family too, they did not just hand out trust easily. 

Trust was just as important as their reputation or money to them. So for them to trust someone either had to be because that person had spent a long time or that the person has earned their trust.
