Leah’s POV

The afternoon sun sat high in the sky and it made sure to bring warmth with it. I was in the back of a car being driven by Lang. It was a luxurious car, but held more of a work vibe. It felt like something that someone who worked with the secret service would drive. 

I stared out the window, my mind on my mom. We had left her there. Lang had assured me that she would be coming back as soon as Rafael and I were on the private jet. She had promised me that she would take good care of my mother and that she would make sure that nothing would happen to the woman. 

So yeah, I sat there as we were being driven to the airport. Or at least that was where I felt like we were going. Rafael was sitting not too far from me. He was at the other side of the car, staring out the window too.
