Chapter 137. The Study (1)

Leah’s POV

It was loud, and when I said it out loud, trust me, I was not exaggerating. It was so loud that I felt the need to go and see what was going on. Normally, I would have just sat here and pretend like I did not know what was going on, but not when it was that loud.

I needed to see. I needed to check and see if everything was okay. 

I stood to my feet and made my way to the door, I unlocked and opened it before stepping into the hallway. That was when I recognized the voices. It was Rafael and his father, they were having a full-blown argument. 

I made my way down the hallway and then down the stairs. That was when I noticed that most of the workers were going out of the house, almost as if it was a drill, or something that they had practiced. It was like they had done it not once, but multiple times. 

I stopped one of them and asked, “What’s going on?” 

The maid was a bit shaky. “We all need to leave.
