Chapter 148. Crashing Out
Leah’s POV
The moment that the bae escaped my lips, I saw how it hit Rafael like a truck going at full speed. I could see the look in his eyes, and I could see anger slowly seeping into them.
I could see the rage, I could see the betrayal. I see so many other emotions, including guilt. I wish that I could do something but I really couldn’t.
I could just stand there and wait for him to speak.
“Rafael?” His mom called for him. “Is everything okay?” It sounded like she was walking in our direction.
I turned to leave, wanting to climb the stairs and leave him and mom to handle whatever that they needed to handle.
But he stopped me by grabbing my wrist gently. “Don’t leave…please.”
I stared into his eyes and I could tell that he needed me. A lot was going on in his head at the moment and I’m guessing he needed a friendly face.
Or maybe someone he was falling for.
