Chapter 151. Surgery

Leah’s POV

I stood there, watching what was happening; eyes wide and everything. My heart was beating so hard against my ribcage that I thought it was going to explode.

“You need to step out,” one of the nurses who had entered the room said to me. Her voice sounded like a distant echo. 

It sounded like it was fading away and it was like I was not even in the room. I felt…I don’t know how I felt. Or maybe I did. But I was feeling so much at once. 

“You need to leave!” Another nurse raised her voice, and that was what it took to pull me out of whatever trance that I was in.

I nodded, letting out a shaky breath as I turned away, walking out of the room. Rafael was right on my tail. Once we were outside, another nurse closed the blinds so we could not even tell what was happening in the room.
