Chapter 152. There’s Always Something
Leah’s POV
The car came to a slow as we closed the distance between us and the lake house. We were back and it was already dark.
The full moon had the entire prophesy lighted and the light reflected on the lake, making it seem like it was glittering.
It was a beautiful night, stars filled the sky and there was not a single cloud. But my heart was still heavy. Yeah, I was glad that my mom had survived surgery and was doing better, but the fact that she was sick and had stage four skin cancer still existed.
And that was something that was going to play on my mind for a while. I still had not accepted it, some part of me still thought that it was all still a dream.
The car came to a stop and Rafael killed the engine. There were no other strange cars in the area so that meant that the detectives and the police were gone already.
