Chapter 160. Kicking Her Out
Leah’s POV
I made my way over to the front door, my heart feeling a little lighter than it felt earlier. The heaviness that used to sit on my chest was gone, and my mood was up.
I closed the pie once I was out and I headed towards the car. When I had closed the distance between me and the vehicle, I unlocked it and opened the door.
But before getting inside, I looked up to the clear blue sky, white puffy clouds floating around as the sun looked down at me.
It was truly a lovely day and I was grateful to be alive. Even though I hated that my mom was sick with something that was life-threatening, I think I could try to look at it from another perspective.
I was not grateful for the cancer, but I was grateful that she was alive and doing well. There were others with this stage of skin cancer who were already dead, but not my mom.
So I guess that was something that I could be grateful for.
