Chapter 162. Rehabilitation
Leah’s POV
I was up and it was a new day. I was still in Rafael’s bedroom. My heart felt lighter today, and I was happy.
I was happy because I felt like everything was finally falling into place. I was happy because it felt like I was finally getting my happily ever after.
The voice at the back of my head was still there, telling me that I was stuoid for believing that I deserved happiness and that it was going to be ripped from me very soon, waking me up from my delusions.
But I tried my best to ignore it. It was just my insecurities. It was just a bunch of lies that my mind was telling me just so I couldn’t enjoy the present.
What more did I have to worry about? The only thing on my list right now that I had concerns about was my mom being sick and the masked man.
Besides that, everything else was going pretty well. Rafael had taken charge of everything that his dad was in charge of.
