Chapter 161. Termination
Leah’s POV
I kept looking at me, maybe thinking that he was going to snap at me next. I kept expecting him to turn to anger toward me because of the question I had asked.
But that was far from what he did. He just ran his hand through his hair and locked eyes with me, flashing me a small smile. Either he was really good at gaming a smile or it was a genuine one.
I decided to believe the latter. “Why are you smiling?” I asked him, and he chuckled, closing the distance between before putting his hand on my waist and pulling me even closer to him.
“Because you love me. You love me enough to correct me and tell me the truth as it is.” He placed a soft kiss on my forehead before looking at my eyes again. “And I love you.”
“You do?”
He rolled his eyes playfully. “What kind of question is that? Of course I do.” He pulled away and walked over to the bed, sitting on it.
Hearing him say the words made my heart hiccup
