Chapter 164. Day Three
Leah’s POV
After a few seconds, I headed to the bed. The day was already fading away and it was now night. I walked over to the window and I pulled the curtains, looking out.
The view was enough to make me feel a sense of tranquility. It was like I was staring at a painting. The moon wasn’t full but it still had some light coming from it.
It reflected on the water and made it look magical. I stared, understanding why the other detective had been staring that day.
I didn’t know what to do, if I was being honest. I know that everything was falling into place and getting better, but the stupid voice at the back of my head just didn’t want to let me enjoy it.
I needed to keep reminding myself, the worst was over. It was now time for me to be happy. I had found love somewhere I wasn’t looking and even though it was unexpected, it made my heart feel full.
