Chapter 181. Sedated
Leah’s POV
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The sound of the machine that was usually in the hospital rooms was the only thing that I could hear for a few seconds. Then my eyes fluttered open.
My vision soon cleared and I looked around slowly. I was on a bed and there was no one in the room with me. I proceeded to sit up, a tightness in my head.
I groaned as I did. When I was now sitting, I waited. I waited for my memories to kick in but nothing. I could remember nothing.
All I knew was what was happening in the moment, and that kind of scared me. But little did I know that this was just life’s way of feeling sorry for me; a small break from everything.
But it was only for a few minutes because before I knew it, my memories started to return. One by one, and then they all came crashing down in my mind. I now could remember the last thing that had been happening before I had fainted.
My mom.
“Excuse me?” I said loudly at a nurse
