Chapter 34. The Storm (1)
Leah’s POV
The car came to a stop when we were back at the mansion. The engines died and I watched Rafael remove his seatbelt as he stepped out, leaving me there.
I sat there for a few seconds and watched him walk to the front porch before entering the house and disappearing.
I ran my hand through my hair, trying to wrap my head around everything that had happened. So not only had I been kidnapped, I was now smacked down in the middle of drama that had started long before I was even born.
I let out a breath and removed my seatbelt before getting down from the car. When I closed the door, something landed on my face before the sky let out a small rumble of thunder.
I looked up and saw that it was about to rain. Dark clouds had already covered the moon and I could see lightning flashes in the distance.
I started walking away from the parked car and headed towards the house. Once inside, I was warm.
