Chapter 33. The Real Rafael
Leah’s POV
The heater was on but I still felt a bit cold. But what I was more focused on was what Rafael had just told me.
My brain was still trying to process it, I did not know whether he was just being metaphorical or whether he was actually telling it the way it was.
So I waited. I waited for him to say something. I waited for him to clarify.
But he kept quiet and kept his eyes on the road. I really wanted to know though, I felt like since I had been brought here, I have been in the dark.
And I felt like the more I’d learn, the better the odds would be of me getting out of here and returning to my life.
I also was generally intrigued, wanting to understand why this guy was the way he was.
