Leah’s POV
The engine of the car was all that I could hear. I expected it to be a sunny day but it was not. It was gloomy; dark clouds hovered over us as we drove out of the compound. It was going to be a rainy day, I just knew it.
And how did I feel about it? I was the kind of person who liked sunny days, but also liked rainy days. I did not like one more than the other. I know, there were people who would only prefer it being sunny, or rainy, but I was not hard to deal with.
I guess my people's pleasing tendencies stretched even to that length, even when there was no one to please.
The question I had asked lingered in the car as we were on our way. I waited for an answer, I needed to know where he was taking us. I mean, if he decided not to tell me, there would be nothing that I would be able to do, but that was not going to stop me from seeking answers.
