Chapter 88. Attention

Leah’s POV

I dragged myself from the bed, feeling a heaviness in my chest. Funny enough, I had not really felt that since yesterday. It was like when I was with Rafael yesterday, everything kind of just felt normal again. 

Normal. Should I even use that word? Maybe not normal. But let me just say that I did not really feel that heaviness yesterday. I think it was because my mind was way too occupied with a certain person placing their lips on mine. 

But yeah, it was a new day. And if I was being honest, I felt a bit free. The memory of kissing Rafael still lingered in my mind, but it was not as strong as yesterday. If anything, I felt like the feelings were fading, and I was grateful for that. 

I really could not afford to get blinded by my feelings right now, or even in the near or distant future. I had bigger fish to fry, I had a much bigger situation to give all my attention and brain power to.
