Chapter 35. Ulterior Motives

Dominic’s POV

After getting delayed by an impromptu meeting at the office, I got into the mansion and went directly into my room to take a shower.

I stepped out of the shower feeling refreshed. Then I decided to check up on Leila, we haven’t spoken again since the confrontation yesterday. “She shouldn’t have heard all that,” I mumbled.

I strode down the hallway in the direction of her room. I knocked twice but there was no response. I opened the door but I was greeted by emptiness.

“Leila,” I called out, walking into the room, guessing that she might be in the bathroom. But there was no response, she wasn’t there.

“Where the hell is she?” I muttered, irritation finally rising to the surface.

I walked out of the room, shutting the door behind me, and headed for the garden, I noticed it was her favorite place to be in the mansion.
