Iris’s POV
“Don’t you think we made a mistake?” I asked Oliver.
I couldn’t believe it’s been six months since I left Stormhowl pack.
Honestly, I was tired. Bone-deep, soul-crushing tired.
“You mean you regret being with me? Is that what you’re saying? Is that what you’re just now telling me, Iris?” Oliver yelled, with his temper flaring as usual.
“Oliver, you fucking don’t have a plan! You have nothing!” I snapped.
“I told you I have plans!” he shot back.
I laughed bitterly. It was the same thing he had been saying for months, the same empty words.
“That’s become a hymn to my ears,” I muttered. “Oliver, it’s been six months. Six fucking months since we left Stormhowl Pack, since I left home for you—since we became rogues. And for six months, you’ve been telling me you have plans. When am I going to see it?” I shouted.
“I didn’t ask you to run away empty-handed, did I?” he said.
