Ezra’s POV

“Ezra,” I said to her, holding her gaze longer than I should have. “Call me Ezra.”

I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

There was something about her—something I couldn’t place but felt all the same. I wasn’t the kind of man who trusted easily.
