Chapter 69. I Miss You
Adeline’s POV
I froze instantly, my heart was beating really fast. The clothes I had picked from Theodore’s wardrobe slipped from my hands, falling to the floor.
“What’s that?” That was Theodore’s voice behind me.
Slowly, I turned around to face him. My mind was busy looking for the right words to say to him.
“Uhm...” I started, bending down to gather the pieces of clothing that had fallen.
My mind was just on him as he stood there looking at me. He was standing there, his presence filling the doorway.
“You didn’t have to sneak in,” he said, like he already knew exactly what I was doing.
I cleared my throat, “I... I didn’t. I thought you had gone to the pack meeting hall. You always have meetings with the elders every morning like this.”
“I was expecting you over last night, so I adjusted the timing. Just for you.”
