“Alpha Theodore!!!”

I heard my name echo from a distance. It was so loud, disturbing the silence of my quarters and my peace!

Before I could even make it to the door, Iris burst in like she was being chased.

“Iris!” I shouted, I was startled.

She rushed inside, breathless, her eyes were wide like she was being chased by rogues. My instincts kicked in instantly.

I didn’t wait. I ran out, my claws were extended, my body poised to defend. But there was no one there. Just the wind.
