Chapter 69. Scenes in Front of His Mother
Adele's POV
I moved my body forward to walk to where Mrs. Marvin stood in front of her house's front door but Chris won't let me leave.
His hand that is around my waist held on tightly to me all of a sudden, hindering my movement. I looked up at him and he took his eyes off his mother before looking down at me.
"Let's go together," Chris said softly with a small handsome smile on his face and I stared at him, almost losing myself in those eyes.
'Almost'
I pulled myself out of his hand abruptly and his eyes widened at me.
"Stop acting like a child," I hissed playfully as I looked at him from top to bottom.
I looked back at the woman who is still patiently waiting for us in front of that door, with a genuine smile on her face.
"Adele," I heard Chris whine from behind me and I almost laughed out loud.
I kept on walking and soon, I was in front of Mrs. Marvin.
"Good afternoon, ma'
