Jason’s POV

Jason could not, for the life of him, figure out how he was feeling at the moment. When Kitty told him she had something to tell him, he assumed she wanted to talk about work or something related to it. However, upon hearing that James asked her to come work for him, he thought they had an understanding that they never interfered with each other's clients. Kitty told him that James had been poaching some of his clients and employees too, and he was not okay with that.

He got angry, thinking he was the client Kitty went to get information from and lied to his face about it. He had never had a reason to doubt Kitty because she was so honest and down-to-earth. She didn't take rubbish from anyone, not in the courtroom and definitely not outside of it. But she denied that it was James she went to see. He believed her at that time because he knew he could trust her, unlike Trish.
