Freya’s POV
“I don’t understand,” I could hear the trembling in my voice as I spoke, and I couldn’t deny I was terrified right now.
Hazel gave a wicked cackle. “You poor thing,” She said, shaking her long red hair as it tousled down her near naked form. The black marks on her skin covering her like paint to cover her most private areas. “I wish you could see the look on your face right now though, it is a picture!”
Gerald laughed with Hazel. “I can’t believe you fell for it, what a wicked trick.”
“Trick?” I asked, feeling my fear turn into seething anger. “What do you mean, trick?”
I recalled the moment I had seen Hazel disappear before my eyes. How she had vanished into nothing after her death had been brought upon her for good. I knew it was real, it couldn’t have been a mere illusion.
“I think my magic is far more than a trick, my dear Freya,” Hazel hissed as she took another step toward me.
I felt the fear return as her cruel eyes
