Rufus’s POV

I wasn’t one to change into my wolf form so easily, not with the werewolf hunters stalking around constantly. I valued my life. I had always known not to trust the Hunters Guild, and I wish I had been taken seriously in the first place. I should have trusted my instincts better.

But today was different, I had to get to Gerald’s Manor as quickly as I could, and the speed of my wolf form exceeded any motor I owned. Silver guided me where I needed to go, the power of his legs glided through the town, out into the woods at a pace that I needed.

I arrived at the manor, and shifted back into my human form, keeping an eye around me to make sure there were no guards in the vicinity.
