Chapter 42. I Can’t Take His Rejection

Freya’s POV

My paws stung as I ploughed through the forest as fast as my legs could carry me. My paws sunk into the flooding ground as I ran, and tears filled my eyes before the rain washed them away. I could feel Freya’s pain in my chest, the aching of her heart stung my insides as I experienced her emotions and pain.

‘I can’t do this anymore!’ Freya sobbed in my mind as she spoke to me ‘Elara, it’s too hard. I can’t take his rejection any longer, it hurts too much and I would rather be alone.’
