Chapter 65. Unexpected Source

No one said a word because well, I had stunned them all with the truth. Even Lucas’ voice left my head and it was silent in there. The Lycan King stopped him pacing right behind me and I felt his fingers toying with some strands of my hair. 

“Do you know the gravity of your accusation, slave? You are telling me that my trusted Beta, Logan is plotting against me, to overthrow me, you say?”

My nod was firm as there was no longer any doubt in my mind. Lucas left the floor and stood at a curious distance from me. He must have thought I had lost my mind but it didn’t matter. Once Beta Logan and his cohorts were exposed, it would all be worth it. 

“Can you repeat your accusation before Beta Logan when I eventually summon him? Can you say all these to his face?” The Alpha warned, standing in front of me at last. His imposing presence was too much for my courage and I backed up impulsively.
