Lucas. What did he want?

I'm on the balcony. Look behind you. 

Like hell I would. If he had stood there and let Beta Logan manhandle me like a doll, I didn't need him. He was a spineless coward and I was better on my own.

I needed to hear the whole truth and so, I could not interrupt. I am so sorry for what he did to you.

Go fuck yourself, Lucas! I screamed in my thoughts, shooing him away. Anger fueled my resilience and I shut him off, pushing him out of my mind. I had a rescue to plan whether Addy wanted to be saved or not.

Fuck destiny! Fuck Lucas! I berated, stomping my way to the slave room. I heard a soft swoosh behind me, followed by a heavy object hitting the ground but I didn't look back. I just wanted to be alone to think, to plan without any interference.
