Chapter 26

Leila's POV

My body was on fire and soon I found myself in the woods. What was I doing here? And how the hell did I get here?! The last time I checked, I was on my bed feeling pains all over my body. Wait! The pains were no longer there. I looked round my body and there were no boils. It was as if I was not close to dying just minutes ago.

Suddenly, I heard an owl hoot. What is this place? I asked but there was obviously no one around to answer my question. I tried to move but I was stuck in one place. I struggled and lifted a foot, I placed the foot I lifted in the path in front of me and immediately, the road gave way and I saw myself falling down. No matter how I tried, I couldn't hold anything. I kept on falling.

After what seemed like forever, I finally landed on the ground and I landed heavily in my butt but surprisingly, I couldn't feel any pain.
