Chapter 57

Leila's POV

I didn't realize that I hadn't slept so peacefully without any care in the world till now. It just felt as though I hadn't rested in a while and decided to take a break.

I stretched my lazy bones as I forced myself out of the comfort of my bed. I stepped outside. Seeing Lilly outside, I planned against it but decided that there was no need, I would still have to face her. So it's better if I start now.

I cleared my throat and stood beside her. She glanced at me and her gaze went back to the waves.

I decided to break the silence when it was becoming too uncomfortable to deal with.

"So how have you been?" I asked, gesturing at her baby bump. Age didn't raise her face to look at me.

"Why did you refuse to contact any of us all this time, Leila?" She asked turning to look at me directly in my eyes in a way that I was forced to look at her.

I cleared my throat thinking hard of what to say but I knew that I couldn't tell them the tru
