Chapter 146. The Interrogation

Dolly was back in her room, carefully tucked into her bed by Terry, who had not left her side since he found her lying in a pool of blood. Alpha Knight had already returned with the others, bringing back Shem and two captives. But Terry wouldn’t join them in the interrogation—not when Dolly still hadn’t woken up.

“What if she sleeps until tomorrow, Terry?” Vanessa asked as she walked over to him with two cups of coffee. She handed him one, and he accepted it calmly.

“I guess you’ll have to find me an extra blanket then,” he answered, and gulped down the coffee, feeling instantly energized as the bittersweet flavor spread through his system.
