Chapter 142. The Mating Chaos

The Alphas waiting by the road jerked in surprise and alertness at the sudden change of climate. It began with a slow rumble of thunder in the sky, then the temperature dropped really low in one instant. An angry rod of white, fiery lightening struck the forest somewhere and a tree fell violently. Then the snow began falling rapidly like the gates withholding them in the sky was beginning to open.

The most frightening of all was the sudden burst of flaming heat like a detonated bomb which emerged from the forest, falling trees as it flung out and putting incessant flame on whatever was in its way.

“Goddammit!” one of the Alphas screamed as the force threw them several feet away. The van rocked on its wheels but luckily, it didn't get knocked off. However, the side that met the impact was visibly dented.

“Someone go tell those two to stop whatever it is they're doing before they destroy their entire pack!” one of the Alphas yelled from where he was crouched down.
