Lois—a petite, beautiful brunette—hated her boss so much she often imagined breaking his nose. Who wouldn’t want to break Elijah Stern’s nose? He was a freakish, psychotic human being, and every single one of his employees detested him.

Lois was supposed to rush home for dinner with her family in two hours, but it was looking impossible. Elijah Stern had just doubled her workload, meaning she wouldn’t be able to leave the office for at least another five hours. She had to send five different emails to over a hundred clients, and she still needed to scan a massive bulk of hard-copy documents into the company’s database. It was far too much work to finish in under three hours. Resigned, she decided to call her mother and apologize.
