Chapter 7

"He is here! The doctor is here, your highness." One of the guards yelled out.

The crowd parted, making way for the doctor to pass; Lucien bared his teeth for the doctor, who raised his hands up in an act of surrender.

"I just want to treat her, that's all." the doctor said ever so gently.

He bent down to drop his medical bag; Lucien's eyes followed the doctor's movement, not letting his guard down at all.

"He is here to help," his beta, Jamirez, said to him.

Lucien nodded, but he didn't let her go. His hand on Daciana tightened as he stared at the crowd. They all watched him cautiously.

The guards were ready for a fight, and so was Lucien. He won't hesitate to rip someone's head off if they try a wrong move.

"Let her go. The doctor will take good care of her." Killian chipped in.

He sounded relaxed, but his eyes were cautious as he took in everything around him.
