Chapter 9

Daciana woke up to the sound of the pack doctor's voice,

"Daciana, you're awake. How are you feeling?"

Daciana groaned and tried to sit up, but she felt a sharp pain in her side. She winced and asked, "What happened? Where am I?"

The pack doctor's expression grew serious, "Daciana, you were hurt at the banquet. You were beaten by some guards. Someone found you and brought you here for treatment."

Seraphim's eyes widened in shock and panic, "No, no, this can't be happening. How could this happen? How could this happen?"

The pack doctor tried to calm her down, "Daciana, your father didn't know what was happening. He was devastated when they found you and immediately brought you here to the pack for treatment."

Daciana felt tears streaming down her face, "But why didn't he protect me? Why did he let this happen to me?"

The pack doctor's voice was
