Chapter 13. Lies

Last time, when she had almost fallen from the stairs, Damon was the one to catch her. This time, however, there were unspoken words written in that gaze of his: ‘this is what you get for betraying me’.

And as she fell backward and to her doom, Damon did the unthinkable…

At first, she thought Damon Kalesto was just a cruel king who fed on the fear of his subjects. Soon after, she dared to think he wasn’t all bad despite the rumors.
