Chapter 14. Hunters
Sarah sat on the floor, curled up against the wall with her head resting on her knees. She had been in the same position ever since Damon left the room. Her eyes were stinging—probably from lack of sleep, but she couldn’t close them. Her mind was just all over the place.
By midnight, she still had not fallen asleep either… not even for a second. Instead, she watched Damon who now lay across his bed, mumbling things she could not understand and breathing heavily in his sleep. For an Alpha King said to fear nothing, Sarah thought he sure had a lot of nightmares.
